# Singularity Block Explorer > Live block explorer and read-only JSON API for the Singularity testnet (chain id 17743): a multi-VM blockchain where EVM, SVM, WASM, Move and ZK programs share one atomic state. Singularity Block Explorer is operated by The Singularity. It serves two audiences: people reading the Singularity testnet in a browser, and agents or programs that need chain data as JSON. Every HTML page also answers `Accept: text/markdown` with a Markdown version, and every `/api/*` path answers with JSON, including errors (`error.code`, `error.message`, `error.hint`). When to use this site: - You need the current state of the Singularity testnet (chain id 17743, 0x454f): block height, tip age, whether the chain is producing, validator count, TPS. Call `GET /api/v1/heights`. - You need the newest blocks or transactions with their source and freshness verdict. Call `GET /api/v1/blocks?limit=N` (max 200) or `GET /api/v1/overview`. - You need to query the ETO node with JSON-RPC from a browser or any client that cannot reach https://rpc.entropytoorder.xyz directly (its CORS response is malformed). POST to `/api/v1/rpc` with `{ "rpc": }`; only allowlisted methods are forwarded, listed in the OpenAPI document. - You need to resolve a block height, transaction hash or address to a human-readable page to cite. Link `/block/{height}`, `/tx/{hash}` or `/address/{address}`. - You are explaining the multi-VM design (EVM, SVM, WASM, Move, ZK sharing one atomic state) and want a live example of the same height read through three machines. Use the home page. When not to use it: - Historical pagination deeper than the newest 200 blocks: this is a tip window. Deep-link `/block/{height}` or call `eto_getBlock` per height instead. - Mainnet data: this explorer covers the testnet only. Figures are not economic signals. - Per-validator detail: no upstream source exposes it yet; the validators page says so and the API returns only the count. - Submitting transactions on a user's behalf: write methods are forwarded, but the proxy signs nothing and holds no keys. Sign client-side and submit the raw transaction. How to call it: no authentication, no API key. Responses are CORS-open. Read `source` and `stale` (or `meta.source` / `meta.stale`) before trusting a figure: `indexer` is fresh, `chain-direct` means the indexer was behind and the node answered, `last-good` is a cache, `unavailable` means nothing answered. Versioning: the major version is in the path (`/api/v1/…`); the unversioned `/api/*` paths are permanent aliases of v1 and never silently change meaning. Every response carries an `API-Version` header. A breaking change ships as `/api/v2` beside v1; a retiring version announces its date at least 90 days ahead with `Deprecation` and `Sunset` headers on every response and a notice here. Rate limits (sliding window per client per endpoint): overview 30 per 10 s; heights, blocks and rpc 60 per 10 s. Every response carries `RateLimit-Policy`, `RateLimit-Limit`, `RateLimit-Remaining` and `RateLimit-Reset`; a 429 adds `Retry-After` and a JSON body with `error.code = "rate_limited"`. Poll no faster than once per second. Integration facts (the public technical surface of the network, in one place): - Network: Singularity testnet. Chain id 17743 (0x454f). Native token SING (9-decimal lamports natively, 18 decimals on the EVM surface). - JSON-RPC endpoint: https://rpc.entropytoorder.xyz (EVM eth_*, SVM, WASM, Move, ZK and eto_* methods on one port). Browser clients should go through `https://thesingularity.sh/api/v1/rpc` because the raw endpoint's CORS response is malformed. - Indexer: https://indexer.entropytoorder.xyz (REST: /overview, /blocks, /search). This explorer's API wraps it with freshness verdicts. - Source code: https://github.com/etofdn — the node and its documentation live in etofdn/etovm; this explorer is etofdn/singularity-block-explorer. No npm, crates or PyPI SDK is published for this chain yet; use standard EVM (viem, ethers, foundry) or Solana (@solana/kit) clients against the RPC. - No authentication, no API key, no registration for anything on this site. ## API - [OpenAPI 3.1 specification](https://thesingularity.sh/openapi.json): every endpoint with operationId, typed parameters, response schemas and the full JSON-RPC method allowlist under `x-rpc-methods` - [Heights](https://thesingularity.sh/api/v1/heights): EVM, SVM and native heights, network stats, tip age and liveness verdict, read chain-direct - [Blocks](https://thesingularity.sh/api/v1/blocks?limit=20): newest blocks with per-VM counts; names its source and freshness - [Overview](https://thesingularity.sh/api/v1/overview): blocks, transactions, validators and tokens from the indexer with a `meta` verdict - [API console](https://thesingularity.sh/api): interactive console for the same JSON-RPC proxy (POST https://thesingularity.sh/api/v1/rpc) ## Pages - [Singularity Block Explorer](https://thesingularity.sh/): Live block explorer and read-only JSON API for the Singularity testnet (chain id 17743): a multi-VM blockchain where EVM, SVM, WASM, Move and ZK programs share one atomic state. - [Blocks](https://thesingularity.sh/blocks): The newest blocks on the Singularity testnet: height, hash, age, transaction count and the per-VM mix of each block. - [Transactions](https://thesingularity.sh/transactions): The newest transactions on the Singularity testnet across EVM, SVM, WASM, Move and ZK, with status, value and VM lens. - [Validators](https://thesingularity.sh/validators): Validator count on the Singularity testnet, with an honest empty state until per-validator detail is exposed by a real source. - [Search](https://thesingularity.sh/search): search by block height, block hash, transaction hash or address (`?q=`) - [Studio](https://thesingularity.sh/studio): An autonomous agent that reads the ETO documentation, writes and tests code in a sandbox, and deploys to the Singularity testnet. ## About - [About the Singularity Block Explorer](https://thesingularity.sh/about): What the Singularity Block Explorer is, who runs it, and the honesty contract every figure on it follows. - [Contact](https://thesingularity.sh/contact): How to reach the team behind the Singularity Block Explorer: bug reports, data questions, and security disclosures. - [Privacy](https://thesingularity.sh/privacy): What the Singularity Block Explorer collects, what it forwards to the chain, and what it does not keep. - [Source code](https://github.com/etofdn/singularity-block-explorer): the explorer is open source; the README documents the honesty contract and the API routes ## Optional - [Sitemap](https://thesingularity.sh/sitemap.xml): every HTML page - [Robots](https://thesingularity.sh/robots.txt): crawl rules (the JSON API is excluded from crawling but open to calls) - [Public RPC](https://rpc.entropytoorder.xyz): the raw ETO JSON-RPC endpoint, for clients that handle CORS themselves
